ABOUT ME

I’m Rachel Maguire MCIPD, an experienced, chartered HR consultant supporting small businesses with clear, practical HR advice. Based in Amersham, I serve Buckinghamshire, London (and the surrounding areas) and remote first businesses.

I have a wealth of experience, working on corporate projects and within growing businesses, advancing the people agenda to achieve the best business outcomes, in a nurturing but commercially centred way.

Originally from Manchester, I read Law at Trinity College in Dublin which first ignited my keen interest in employment law. I began my career first specialising in client satisfaction projects and legal corporate governance before making myself at home in the HR team of a large global corporate within the property industry. I completed my MSc in HR Management (CIPD Level 7) at London South Bank University, cementing my desire to support people and businesses to perform at their best. After job sharing the role of HR Director, I co-created The Job Share Pair, a specialist flexible working consulting and coaching business. I partnered with a wide range of organisations and clients, appearing in multiple news and radio outlets.

I am passionate about implementing change to improve efficiency and productivity levels, particularly through the lens of employee engagement and workplace culture. My personal driver is to help individuals and organisations realise their potential through overcoming barriers and creating action led, measurable solutions and results. 

With hands-on experience across a wide range of workplace challenges (no two of which are ever the same), I understand how complex and time-consuming people management can feel, especially when you’re trying to run and grow a business.

I work as an extension of your team, while keeping my finger on the pulse of employment law updates (including ERA 2026), so you don’t have to.
